Founded in 2008, MDEcoPro LLC a family owned Lakeland FL based mobile device recycling company was established to create financially and environmentally positive relationships with charities and companies to ensure that the benefits of mobile phones are maximized. We provide complete marketing, operations and logistics support to both charities and companies in order to create innovative used mobile device collection campaigns. It is estimated that 130 million plus cell phones are retired each year in the U.S. with an additional 500 million cell phones stored in offices, homes, and storage areas.
MDEcoPro recycles all donated non-functioning cell phones and accessories in an environmentally responsible manner through our relationship with recycling partners selected for their processes which are approved by the EPA and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Cell Phones which can be reused or refurbished are sold and the revenues from these devices allow us to compensate our customers for the devices collected and offset costs including the destruction of un-useable devices.
By reusing these phones, consumers are offered a socially and environmentally responsible means of disposing of their old mobile phones, an avenue to replace older non-E911 compatible phones at a low cost and charities generate newfound funds to further their missions. This also provides companies an additional ROI for their electronics initiatives and fits within most organizations compliance initiatives to protect data and ensures the devices do not end up in a landfills reducing the risk of governmental fines and increasing the awareness of our environment.
